The bench remarked that the matter will come up in due coure of time next week for hearing. A stay on the high court order was not necessary, it added.

The state government had moved the Supreme Court against the stay granted on the toll collection at Dahisar check naka by a division bench of Justce A V Sawant and Justice R J Kochar of the Bombay High Court.

The counsel for the Mira-Bhayander Small Scale Industries Association which had filed the petition had opposed the state government in the Supreme Court today.
