Kalmadi Shamrao school kids contribute Rs 5 lakh for Army Welfare fund

PUNE, Aug 6: Children are the world's future and judging by what the schoolchildren of the Dr. Kalmadi Shamrao High School have done, the future is in secure hands. Says Devika Nadig, principal of the school, ``This was a phenomenal exercise in school for 15 days only during which period, 3000 children aged between 6 and 15 years collected donations from their neighbourhood. The children have done such a wonderful job, we did not expect to collect such a big amount.''
