NEW DELHI, August 6: Six meet records were established (three each in the boys and girls sections) on the opening day of the three-day 35th Delhi State Age Group Aquatic Championships at the Talkatora pool here today.In the boys 1 category, Vijay Kumar sunk the old record n 200m breast stroke. In boys 2 section, Delhi Public School (Mathura Road) emerged winners with a new meet record in 4x100m freestyle relay. JSTS `B' team and St Columba's finished second and third, respectively.
In boys 3, Shekhar Tokas of DPS (Mathura Road) came first in 100m breast stroke with a meet record.
In girls 1, Mishra sisters, Richa and Charu finished first and second in 200m ndividual medley, the former with a meet record. JSTS emerged on top with a meet record in 4x100m freestyle relay in the same category. In girls 3, Sharuti Gupta of DPS came first with a eet record n 100m breast stroke.
The Mishra sisters also dominated the 400m freestyle, 200m breast and 200m backstroke, finishing one-two.

Old record: Rakhi Mehra (Moden School, Barakhamba Road) in 1997, 2:45.66. 4x100m freestyle relay: 1.JSTS, 2.Modern School (Barakhamba Road), 3.LSR. Time: 5:27.90. Old record: LSR in 1997, 5:37.86. Girls 3: 100m breast: 1.Sharuti Gupta (DPS Mathura Road), 2.Meenakshi Tokas (Alisha), 3.Priyanka (CPC). Time: 1:29.41 during heats (new meet record). Old record: TopsyAhluwalia of GHPS Vasant Vihar in 1989, 1:30.63.
