CII pact with Nepal companies

 
NEW DELHI: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has signed a contract with eight companies in Nepal, including overseas subsidiaries of ITC and Dabur, to assist them in achieving the ISO-9000 quality standards.

The companies are Dabur Nepal, Surya Tobacco (ITC subsidiary), Himal Iron & Steel and Lube Oils - Nepal, besides four tea plantation companies. The initiative is part of CII - TQM division's efforts to create quality awareness among companies to increase their competitiveness.CII said theidea was to create closer partnership
