Abduction complaint
An abduction complaint was lodged by a Sarkarnagar resident, Vijaykumar Diwakar, with the J P Road police on Saturday. The complainant alleged that the accused, Hemantbhai, on the pretext of providing a break in films ran away with his daughter and then forcibly confined her in a house in the city. The police have registered a case and arrested Hemantbhai, while the girl has been handed over to her parents.

Burglary foiled
An abortive attempt was made to burgle the house of a Vasna road resident, Dinesh Parikh, late on Saturday night. In a complaint with the J P Road police, Parikh stated that some unidentified persons broke into the house but escaped when a family member woke up and raised an alarm.
