Cagers from US to exhibit skills

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
MUMBAI, AUG 8: Sports Ambassadors, a team of university-level basketball players from United State, will be playing three exhibition matches with the Tata Steel team here in the city. The US team has been brought to India by Sports Mission, a voluntary group which works among children of commercial sex workers and builds awareness about aids.

The Sports Ambassadors have an eight-member squad with an average age of 20. The oldest player is Philip Prince at 24 and the tallest is Steve McAdory at 6'6".

Tata Steel have age and height on their side. Mobin Islauddin at 7'3" inches in the tallest player in India. Though Tata Steel will be without their captain and international player Shahid Qureshi, out with an knee injury, they have 6'9" centre Jaldeep Dhaliwal along with Islauddin, ball-handlers Cyril Miranda and Mohit Bhandari.

The schedule 1st match: Aug 9 at at St. Andrew's, School Bandra; 2nd match: Aug 10, Nagpada Neighbourhood House court; 3rd match: Aug 11, Don Bosco School, Matunga.
