Sena, BJP swap seats

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
MUMBAI, AUG 9: The ruling Shiv Sena-BJP alliance in Maharashtra has decided to swap four assembly seats for the coming elections.

Sena would now field its candidates from Pen, Phaltan, Patan and Biloli, senior Sena leader Subhash Desai said in a statement here today.

Till now the above mentioned constituencies were with the BJP as per the seat-sharing formula.

Similarly, Panvel, Khatav, Latur and Ashti -- the assembly constituencies which were with the Sena till now -- would go to the BJP, Desai added.

Meanwhile, Sena chief Bal Thackeray has also announced the candidature of Amrit Patel from Dadra & Nagar Haveli parliamentary constituency for the forthcoming polls, he said.
