Opposition misleading people on saffron alliance, says Vikhe

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
AHMEDNAGAR, Aug 9: District Guardian Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe has stressed that not a single communal riot had taken place during the four-and-half years rule in the state and alleged that the opposition parties had launched a misinformation campaign against the ruling party.

Addressing a gathering of workers of Janseva Mandal on Sunday, Vikhe said that the opposition parties were levelling charges of corruption and communalism against the government in order to mislead the people.

Vikhe alleged that that the Congress, which was in power in the state for several years, had denied the people in Ahmednagar district various basic amenities. He expressed the confidence that the people would teach a lesson to the Congress during the forthcoming elections. Alleging that betrayal and sycophancy were two sides of the same Congress coin, he said that knowing this, the electorates will elect the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance candidates with a thumping majority.

Highlighting the achievements of the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance government, he said that the government had given top priority to various irrigation, educational, housing, and roads schemes with a view to offer the basic amenities to the people. He alleged that the Congress leaders however indulged in groupism and communalism and attempted to stall implementation of various developmental works.

Vikhe said that he had taken the lead in forming Rahuri and Shrirampur Taluka Milk Producers Association as a remedy to the harassment faced by milk producers. He said that he had never brought politics in various development schemes.

Vikhe charged that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar, who had the ambition to become a prime minister, had imposed a mid-term polls on the country. He further said that the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance will face its traditional political enemies in the district.
