AUGUST 10: The final list of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates for Maharashtra would be available on Wednesday, since some names to be sent to the central election committee would be sent only on Tuesday. The party has been waiting to finalise its recommendations from Maharashtra till Congress (I) and the National Congress Party (NCP) released their lists.
Meanwhile, the BJP alleged that misinformation about the BJP and anti-BJP propaganda is being spread through a website called `atalbiharivajpayee.com' set up by a Sonia Gandhi sympathiser. The party's spokesman, Prakash Jawdekar told reporters that it is not BJP's official website.
The party has also identified the alleged mischief-maker, one Vellaringattu Thomas. The website had apparently been registered by a US company, Ind-US Internet Tech.
The website also has links to other sites like -- India's elections.com, Soniagandhi.org, secularindia.com and Indiapakistan.com. Some of these have carried opinion polls favouring Sonia Gandhi andpropaganda against Union Home Minister L K Advani as well.
