Directive to Collectors
Gandhinagar:
The government has directed all the district collectors to prepare a comprehensive plan containing details of drinking water scarcity, if any, in their respective areas and send it to the government by August 16. State Water Supply Minister Narottam Patel said the government had initiated measures on a war-footing to tide over the acute drinking water shortage facing several parts of the State, particularly in the Saurashtra/Kutch and North Gujarat regions.GGCL cheque

For Kutch, BJP's Pushpadan Gadhvi and Rasik Meghji Thakker and Congress' Babulal Meghji Shah and Maheshkumar H Thakker filed their papers. For Junagadh seat, Congress' Pethalji Chavda and Jethalal Ranabhai Jora filed papers.
