EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
LUCKNOW, AUGUST 12: Samajwadi Party state president Ram Sharan Das today announced candidates for 42 of the 85 Lok Sabha seats. Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's name does not figure in today's list. It is rumoured that he is planning to contest from two seats, Sambhal and Kannauj.

The party is yet to name the candidate for the Lucknow seat where Atal Behari Vajpayee is the BJP candidate. The BSP has fielded a Muslim candidate here. Against Mayawati, the SP has fielded Ram Karan Arya in the Basti constituency.
