Dinesh's spell goes in vaint

NEW DELHI, August 12: A brilliant spell of bowling by Dinesh Singh (7 for 40) went in vain as Vijay Mehra Academy went down fighting to Hind Club by 20 uns in a limited overs match at Laxman Public School grounds here today.

Hind Club made 277 in the stpulated 40 oves with Ashok topscoring with 89. In reply, Vijay Mehra Academy wee dismissed for 257 with four deliveries remaining. Abhishek Tosaria (65) and Sumit Malhotra (39) wee the pincipal contributors. Ashok (3 for 22) and Anjee (2 fo 23) were the main wicket-takers for the winners.

Dinesh, a left-arm medium pacer, was devastating andc was unplayable as he singlehandedly ran through the Hind Club batting lineup. The tall medium pacer, with a fine bowling action,looks a future prospect for Delhi.

Hind Club:
277 all out in 40 overs (Ashok 89, Azad 28, Dinesh Singh 7 fo 40).
Vijay Mehra Academy: 257 all out in 39.2 oves (Abhishek Tosaria 65, Sumit Malhotra 39, Ashok 3 for 22, Anjeer 2 for 23).
