RoC curbs on `software' cosNEW DELHI: The Registrar of Companies (RoC) will not allow companies to change their names to reflect the business of software until a substantial income is derived from software. The move follows a large number of finance companies changing their names to reflect association with the software sector and misleading investors.
Seminar on corporate governance
MUMBAI: Carolyn Kay Brancato, director, Global Corporate Governance Research Centre, The Conference Board, New York, was the keynote speaker at a seminar on "International trends in corporate governance - some considerations for India" on August 16. The seminar was organised by the United States Information Service in collaboration with IACC, BMA and Mahendra & Young.
