During the quarter, its total credit increased by 7.09 per cent from Rs. 5,712 crore to Rs. 6,117 crore. The bank's investments grew by 3.7 per cent from Rs. 8,395 crore to Rs. 8,706 crore. Deposit growth was slower at 0.06 per cent from Rs. 13,831 crore to 13839 crore.

The bank has launched a special NPA settlement scheme for the priority sector credit. The bank has drawn a plan to computerise 520 branches by December 31, 2000.
