Breakthrough soon in Shivani murder -- Police

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
NEW DELHI, AUG 16: Delhi police today claimed to have found ``convincing evidence'' in the murder cases of The Indian Express principal correspondent Shivani and Outlook's senior cartoonist Irfan Hussain. They said they expected a breakthrough in investigations soon.

``A breakthrough in these two cases is expected at the earliest,'' Police Commissioner Ajai Raj Sharma said here. Refusing to divulge details of the probe, he said ``convincing evidence'' had been found in both the cases. Shivani was murdered in her flat on January 23, while the decomposed body of Irfan was recovered from Ghazipur on March 13.
