A trip to Disneyland

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, AUG 16: You have till now seen only canvases that depicted the adult world but this evening the Indus Ind Art Gallery took us on a trip to the Disneyland. And the gallery created a child's world, with the background score of Walt Disney's `Pinocchio' flowing from the music system, as the walls featured almost all the Disney characters.

For the artist, Kanwar Aulakh, a postgraduate student of the Department of Fine Arts at the Punjabi University in Patiala, Walt Disney and his troop are the ultimate when it comes to pure enjoyment. He has sketches of them all; detailing the story of Pinocchio, Bambi lost in the woods, and Mickey out for fishing with Pluto. Though it is a cute collection, it is time for Kanwar to grow up even if he wants to remain in the world of his comic strip characters.
