Woman kills herself
Kokila Dholiya Jain (22) a married woman residing at Marutinagar area of Limbayat died on Monday afternoon, within an hour of being admitted to the Mahavir hospital. A case registered under CrPC 174 said that the woman was brought to the hospital in a serious condition after she had consumed poison. The dying declaration of the woman has not been recorded and the police are interrogating family members to find out the reason for the extreme step.

Quack arrested
The Pandesara police arrested Vijay Babulal Yadav, a quack operating in the Shaktinagar slum of the area on Monday. A case registered under provisions of the Gujarat Medical Practice Act and the IPC said that he had no valid medical degree or training to run his `Shiv Clinic'. The quack had been endangering the lives of people by treating them, the complaint registered against Yadav said.

Harassment
The Mahidharpura police have registered a case of physical and mental harassment along with abetment of suicide against four persons of a family after the father of a woman who committed suicide approached the police on Monday. The father, from Kaamanwadi in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, told the police that his daughter was driven to death by her husband, brother-in-law, mother-in-law and and sister-in-law. The girl had been married for the past two months and the family was reportedly demanding dowry, because of which she consumed poison and died last week. A case has been registered.
