Parimarjan bounces back

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 16: Parimarjan Negi of Amity International bounced back with a win over Akshat of Sardar Patel in the fourth round of the inaugural chess championship organised by 64 Squares Chess Academy at G.H.P.S (India Gate). Parimarjan Negi, the youngest participant at six years, participating in the medallist section registered three consecutive wins after his first round loss. On the top table, Kabir Punde of Mother's International (3 points) played a fighting game before losing to Anoop Jairaj of D.T.E.A. (4). R. Srinivasan (3.5), another highly-talented player from Rai School, accounted for Anirudh Aggarwal (2.5) of D.P.S (R.K. Puram).Other results: Varun Sharma (Ramjas, R.K. Puram) 2.5 drew with Manish Uniyal (Arvachin) 2.5, Manumadan ((Modern Barakhamba) 3 bt Sanchit Aggarwal (Manav Sthali) 2, Avijit Mishra (N.P.S.
