RK Puram boys triumph
Holders Ramjas Public School (RK Puram) won the third inter-Ramjas football championship beating School No. 2 (Anand Parbat) 4-0 at Ramjas Sports and Mountaineering Institute Complex. In volleyball, School No. 4 became the champions prevailing over School No.1, 15-6, 15-4 in the final.

Second win for Hindustan
Hindustan defeated Goans 3-0 in the super league match of the DSA-SAIL football championship at the floodlit Ambedkar Stadium here today. The winners led 1-0 at the break when captain Mohammad Khalid put them in the lead. After interval, Mahesh Bisht and stubstitute H.S. Rawat added to the tally. With this win Hindustan have six points from two games.

Festival for Women
Directorate of Education (Sports Branch), Government of Delhi will organise Sports Festival for Women on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand from August 29 to 31 at Chhattarsal Stadium. The meet will be in the disciplines of athletics, hand ball, volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, gymnastic, hockey, kho-kho, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis and swimming. Women of any age, department, institution can participate in this meet. State scholarship will be given to the first position holders. Entries close with Sports Department on August 23. For any information contact Satpal, Deputy Director of Education (Sports).

Abhinav and Aman excel

Abhinav beat Abhimanyu 15-14 while Aman Singh defeated Parveen 15-14 in the boys VI and VII categories while Reshma prevailed over Rudra 11-6 in the girls IV and V sections in the badminton talent contest for school children held at Ludlow Castle School No. 2.

Results: Boys IV and V (Sarat bt Himanshu 15-0, Sachin Bisht bt Surender 15-1, Sahil bt Warun 15-4, Sandeep bt Suneet 15-2; Boys IV, VII: Asish bt Diraj 15-9, Abhinav bt Abhimanyu 15-14, Aman Singh bt Parveen 15-14, Ashmeet bt Akansha 15-0.Girls IV, V: Reshma bt Rudra 11-6, Tina bt Vandana 11-5, Jyoti bt Razy 11-0, Heena bt Mayashri 11-1, VI, VII section: Meenakshi bt Sonika 11-1, Dudra bt Shikha 11-0, Shivani bt Neha 11-3.
