JAMSHEDPUR, AUG 19: A suspected Pakhtoon national, carrying Rs 6.5 lakhs currency notes, was arrested at Tatanagar railway station today, GRP sources said.Yusuf Khan's movement on the platform raised the suspicions of the GRP personnel on duty. Being challenged, he said he was a resident of Ranchi, but failed to give his proper address.
He also failed to give details of the huge amount of cash he was carrying in his luggage, the sources said.
He claimed that he dealt in woolen garments and was waiting for the down Rajdhani Express to travel to Calcutta.
He will be further interrogated and police have started an investigation in this connection.
