Superstar Virgo docked in city

MUMBAI, AUG 19: Superstar Virgo, the latest addition to the Star Cruises' fleet of luxury mega ships, takes off on its maiden voyage from an Indian shore on August 20th. It follows the success of SuperStar Leo, its twin ship, that carried a large number of Indians last year. ``Indian cruisers discovered a new passion for Star Cruises after the SuperStar Leo,'' said the President and Chief Executive of Star Cruises, Colin Au at a preview of the SuperStar Virgo at Indira docks.

The 268 metre-long ship has a capacity of about 3,000 passengers and a crew of 1,000. The decks are stacked with entertainment centres and international restaurants, an amphitheatre, a casino, a starlight disco and a helipad. The cruise costs about Rs 40,000.
