Gamblers nabbed
Ten gamblers, including ring-leader Ghulam Hussain alias Bholu, were arrested and Rs 507 seized, during a raid conducted on a gambling den in the Yaqutpura area of the city last night. According to the police, the arrested persons were gambling near Meenara Mosque when an informer passed on the message to the police who rushed to the place and arrested the entire gang.

Pilfering case
Jagdishbhai Arjundas, a resident of Sangam Society on Harni Road, has complained to the police that CD casettes and players and mobile phone instrument together worth Rs 42,000 had been stolen from his Prince Enterprises shop in Mehta Pole area by his employee Suresh alias Sonu Marwari. According to the complaint, the employee stole the goods over the last three months.

Bag stolen
An Ahmedabad resident, Ramanbhai Bhikhabhai Chauhan, has complained to the Sayajigunj police that his bag containing containing Rs 11,000 cash and some goods was lifted by unknown persons from platform no. 26/27 of the ST bus stand near the Vadodara Railway Station last night.
