This is my last poll, says Aher

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NASHIK, AUG 19: State Health Minister Dr Daulatrao Aher, who has been nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the State Legislative Assembly from the Nashik constituency, has announced that the forthcoming elections would be his last and hereafter he would not contest any poll.

Speaking at an election meeting organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Dr Aher said that he would not have asked for a ticket for the second successive term but he wanted government health services to reach out to the poor people residing in slums and rural, tribal areas. He said that the BJP did not have the tradition of people refusing to quit chairs. Dr Aher had been elected to the Assembly from Nashik constituency in 1995 and was inducted in the State cabinet as the minister for health.
