Aniket takes opener
Aniket Koparkar kept up his season's good run as he defeated Akash Deshpande by a comprehensive margin of 21-5, 21-12 on the opening day of the Amit Khisti Memorial District Ranking Table Tennis tournament at the Sharada Sports Complex here today.

A total of 360 participants have confirmed entry for this second edition of the tournament, which will conclude on August 23.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Gulabrao -- Superintendent of Police (Rural Pune), Uday Balachandran -- Secretary, Poona District Table Tennis Association (PDTTA) and Shriram Konkar -- Secretary, PDTTA.
