Centre for gynaecological problemsTreatment for gynaecological problems will now be available under a single roof at a Ghatkopar hospital. The treatment will be provided under the supervision of a doctor who has recently been recognised by an American Association of Gynaecological Laproscopist.
According to Dr Prakash Trivedi, infertility consultant and gynaecological endoscopist, this centre is being the `gynaecological centre for the next millennium', where they provide treatment for four common ailments that women suffer from: infertility, excessive bleeding, pain in the abdomen and urinary problems, he said.
The centre will employ the `button hole' technique, which requires either minimum incision or no incision at all, the consultant said. The various types of conditions that will be treated include removal of fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and ectopic pregnancy, he said. Different types of laser surgeries will also be performed at this centre, he added.
