Pedestrian, two-year-old, two youths die on roads
Four persons, including a two-year-old girl were killed in three separate road mishaps in the city and its rural outskirts during the last two days.

Taherkhan Dalkhan Pathan, a 60-year-old pedestrian from Kalewadi, was killed on the spot when a motorcycle knocked him down at Kalewadi on Saturday. Motorcyclist Sudhakar Narayan Nalawade (23) of Vijaynagar in Kalewadi has been arrested by Chatuhshrungi police. Two-year-old Sonali Suryavanshi was killed when she came under the wheels of a truck at Lavale village near Paud on Friday. Truck driver Savlaram Tukaram alias Dilip Karale has been arrested by Paud police.

Police said Sonali, a daughter of a labourer was playing near a well which was being dug when the truck carrying soil ran over her. Sonali died on the spot.

Two youths were killed on the spot when their motorcycle dashed against a boulder along the road linking Daund town with Kurkumbh MIDC at Lingale village on Friday. The identities of the deceased were ascertained as the motorcycle rider Avinash Padmakar Kalyankar and Yogesh Shivaji Deshmukh (both residents of Daund).
