NAGPUR, AUG 27: A batch of LLM students of Nagpur University fears that it's the end of the road for them. No student has passed in International Law for the last three years, this is the last attempt for the old course students, and the university has adopted highly restrictive revaluation rules. For the last three years, the LLM Previous (Old Course) results of Nagpur University have said, ``No examinee is successful,'' in Group B (International Law).
The 20-odd students say they are at their wit's end trying to clear the paper. Their argument is that one or two of them might be complete duffers, not 20!
With this argument, they reason that it is the lack of facilities to prepare for the examinations that is responsible for this annual massacre. The Post Graduate Department of Law is making do with contributory lecturers who have little commitment. The library has very few books and no journals dealing with International Law.
To make matters worse, the students claim that their papers are sent forvaluation to legal luminaries and experts whose strict standards the students always fail to meet.
On the other hand, their college and university authorities have maintained that the students are simply no good and therefore, they fail.
