Jawan guns down officer in Jammu

JAMMU, AUG 27: An irate Army jawan killed a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and four other colleagues at a forward border post in R S Pura area of Jammu district on Thursday, defence sources said.Havaldar Surinder Singh resorted to indiscriminate firing from his light machine gun following a quarrel with a colleague over the deployment parade at 'Jasoor' post at around 3 am, they said. A JCO and a Subedar were among the four killed, they said. Havaldar Singh was arrested and a court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident, the sources added.
