EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PANCHKULA, Sept 3: Local Congress Committee president Krishan Agarwal Nanha visited the different markets of the township yesterday and requested shopkeepers to vote for the Congress candidate. He was accompanied by senior party members including Arun Madra, Suresh Sharma and Vijay Sharma, among others. Later, he addressed a public gathering in Old Panchkula and canvassed house-to-house.

Meanwhile, the local Muslim Welfare Society has decided to support the Congress candidate, while the Gujjar community has extended full support to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate. Panchkula district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice-president Pawan Kumar denied that the Morni villages are boycotting elections as claimed by the Shivalik Vikas Manch.
