LONDON: The world's only officially licensed female football agent has won her sex discrimination case against the English Professional Players' Union after being barred from its men-only annual dinner.
Rachel Anderson, who acts for several leading English players, was awarded damages of £7,500 (about Rs 4.94 lakh) as well as costs of £45,000. The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) argued there was not enough room for women to attend the dinner in April 1998 and claimed sex discrimination laws did not apply because the event was private.
