Lovers `forced' to commit suicide

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PANCHKULA, SEPT 14: A 14-year-old girl, Sunita and a 22-year-old man, Ramesh committed suicide yesterday morning. Both were residents of Hangoli village, about 30 kms from here.

The two were reportedly forced to commit suicide as the villagers had found that they were having an affair and they were opposed to their relationship. Both of them belonged to the Jhivar community.

According to police sources, both Sunita and Ramesh were having an affair for the past few months. On Sunday, some villagers found them sitting at a dhaba in Hangoli and after taking them away forcibly they reportedly beat them up.

The two were then locked up in a room. It was in the morning yesterday that their bodies were recovered by the villagers. After a post-mortem, it was found that they had consumed some poisonous substance. The police station Raipur Rani has registered an inquiry under Section 174 Cr.PC.
