Hindi divas celebrated in city

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 14: Various instituions celebrated Rashtriya Hindi Divas in the city today. Akashvaani Chandigarh celebrated the occasion by honouring winners of the events, organised during the celebrations.

Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36, organised an on-the-spot essay, poetry and slogan-writing competition on the topic: "Hindi Bhasha Kitni Samarth". In the essay writing contest, Gita stood first, Natalya Sood second and Sangeeta Mathpal stood third. The results of the poetry are Anjali first, Babita second and Yogita Sharma third.

The regional office of Steel Authority of India Limited also celebrated the day and inaugurated its year-long golden jubilee celebrations. The zonal office of State Bank of India is celebrating Hindi month till September 30. A note writing competition was held for the staff members and a cultural programme was organised at Blue Bird Model School.The day was also celebrated at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research.
