CITU employees stage dharna

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 14: The employees of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) staged a demonstration here today to press their demands.The protesters demanded that minimum wages should be set at Rs 3,500, factory law be made applicable in various factories and stringent action be taken against the employers and labour inspectors who could violate factory law.Satyaveer Singh, vice-president of CITU, said the employees would continue with their agitations to protest against the antilabour policies of the government.
