Man beaten, robbed
One Pravin Muljibhai Shah, a resident of Gurukrupa Society in Karelibaug, alleged that he was assaulted and robbed of Rs 3,000 by four people on Monday night. According to the police, Shah was passing from the Baroda Cooperative Bank, outside Prakash Nagar Society, when the incident occurred. Shah sustained injuries on his head and abdomen. An unidentified pedestrian, was run over by a speeding truck near Wadinath Mandir on National Highway No 8, on Tuesday morning. According to the police, the driver sped away after the mishap and witnesses could not note down the registration number of the vehicle. A case has been registered against the truck driver.

The Raopura police have registered a case of fraud against one Bhikhabhai Chhotabhai Patel, a resident of Santoshi Nagar, near Chhani Jakat Naka, for preparing a fake document to usurp a piece of land in the village. According to Chhani police, the land belongs to one Raojibhai Danabhai Patel but the accused got the document prepared by using a forged stamp of Vadodara City Mamlatdar and his clerk. Vehicle theft
In seperate cases of vehicle theft registered by the police, two vehicles were stolen on Tuesday. While a Sunny Moped (GJ 6 H 5800) worth Rs 6,000 was stolen from the parking lot of Technology College compound, a Yamaha motorcycle bearing registration number GJ 6 BB 8991 worth Rs 30,000 was stolen from Deepika Society in Bajwa.
