Dravid rescues tottering India

Agencies
Toronto, Sept 14: A fighting 77 by Rahul Dravid helped India post a respectable 225 for the loss of seven wickets in the third and final one-day international against West Indies at the Cricket, Skating and Curling Ground here today.

West Indies were 12 for two wickets in 3.5 overs when reports last came in.Put in to bat, the Indians again struggled to come to terms with the accurate West Indies pace attack. They lost makeshift opener MSK Prasad with only 10 runs on the board when umpire David Orchad adjudged him caught behind off Courtney Walsh. Prasad, who managed only two runs, was clearly unlucky as TV replays showed the ball had brushed his pad.

Skipper Saurav Ganguly, who opened for the first time during this series, scored 34. But Dravid came to India's rescue, and put on 59 and 77 for the fourth and fifth wickets with Jacob Martin and Vinod Kambli respectively.
