Despite a dull opening, Rangadih managed to grab the initiative through Nagen Singh in the 13th minute. The Car Nicobar side tried their best to equalise but got opportunity only in the second half. Grecory scored the equaliser in the 42nd minute. They, however, could not enjoy the parity for long as Nagen struck the winner in the 50th minute.

Earlier, in a sub-junior category match, Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Sawai (Car Nicobar) thrashed GP School, Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) 6-0. Roger scored two goals whole Scissor, Adulphes, Barnabos and Barshidimar scored one each.
