MRTPC to probe Enkay Texofood
NEW DELHI: The Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) today initiated a enquiry against Enkay Texofood Industries Ltd, for allegdly marketing its `Onjus' juice containing added sugar and beta carotene as `natural orange juice.' The MRTPC notice of enquiry was issued on a complaint filed by the Director General of Investigation and Registration (DGIR) that the company was indulging in deceptive and unfair trade practice by misleading consumers regarding the quality of oranges being used in the juice. The DGIR charged that the company had declared Onjus as natural orange juice concentrate and water on the outer pack which was contrary to the test reports, U S Mishra.
DSPML bond fund declares 4.6 pc
MUMBAI: DSP Merrill Lynch (DSPML) today declared a 4.6 per cent net dividend in its bond fund out of the total distributable surplus of 52 paise per unit. The net dividend in the hands of investors in the dividend plan of DSP Merrill Lynch bondfund would be 46 paise after accounting for dividend tax of 11 per cent, the company said after a meeting of its board trustees here. Net assets under the fund has grown nearly 10 times since inception in April 1997 with corpus growing to Rs 828 crore as on September 15, 1999, the company said.
