Bombay Gym too good for Dimbula

MUMBAI, September 16: Hosts Bombay Gymkhana whipped Dimbula Athletic and Cricket Club 52-7 to make it an anticlimatic ending to the Famour Grouse All-India and South Asian Rugby Tournament.

Young Rugby Club, Calcutta won the losers plate, winning 9-6 against Maharashtra State Police with all the points coming from penalty conversions.Egged on by the home crowd, Bombay Gymkhana put up a show that decimated Dimbula. The hero of the home team's win was in-centre Kunal Bhansali with four tries and three conversions, tallying 26 points. Captain Chaitanya Sinh chipped in with three conversions and the other tries were scored by Rajiv Sathe, scrum half Samir Saraiya, full back Stuart Crighton and scrum half Mukkaram Fazulbhoy.

Dimbula began scoring late in the game when A Peiris scored and full back N Vijitha converted it.
