YPS win u-13 title

CHANDIGARH, Sept 16: Yadavindra Public School, SAS Nagar, lads hogged limelight by winning under-13 boys team title in the All India Inter-School squash championships which concluded recently at Delhi. According to information received here, YPS beat Mayo College, Ajmer, 2-1.

Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu (YPS) lost to Ashish Khanduja 6-9, 9-6, 10-9, 9-4 in the first match. But Manpreet Malhi (YPS), who had unbeaten record in the meet, demolished U Bagga 9-1, 9-2, 9-0, to make it 1-1 all. In the decider Jai Sekhon (YPS) beat S Kanodia 9-7, 9-0, 9-0, to lift the trophy.

Dates extended
The last date for collecting the entry forms of the Second Edmund Rice cricket tournament to be held at the St John's High School-26, has been extended from September 18 to 25. According to a press release, entries close on September 30. Earlier it was September 25.

Kho-kho meet postponed
Due to unavoidable circumstances the Chandigarh State kho-kho meet scheduled to be held on September 18 and 19 has been postponed. According to a press release, the fresh dates will be announced soon.
