NAGPUR, SEPT 17: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday carried out simultaneous raids on the hospital and residential premises of a former medical officer (MO) with the State Reserve Police (SRP) as well as the Central Jail, Dr Hemant Bhaurao Ravekar, for amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.Ravekar - an MBBS, DCH, specialising in treatment of child ailments and skin diseases - faces charges of amassing wealth worth Rs 17 lakh which is beyond his known sources of income, Superintendent of Police (ACB) Shrikant Sawarkar told The Indian Express on Thursday evening.
This includes a spacious nursing home-cum-residential premises - Tajkrupa General Hospital - built on a sprawling plot at Narmada Colony along the Katol Road, a Maruti van and some residential plots, one of which is located in the city. The hospital was built some four to five years back while Ravekar was in service.
