Food poisoning leaves 60 nurses ill

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
NEW DELHI, SEPT 17: At least 60 nurses of Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) hospital in North-West Delhi were taken ill and admitted to the hospital after they consumed eatables at a farewell party here, hospital sources said today.

The victims, final year students of school of nursing of DDU, had attended a farewell party organised by their juniors last evening, the sources said.

After midnight, the nurses complained of dizziness, nausea and fever and were rushed to the DDU hospital, they said adding that all of them were ``out of danger'' now.

While five nurses were discharged after medication, 55 others are still under observation in the hospital, the sources said.
