Manuel was arrested for alleged espionage at Ammunition Factory in Khadki and Ordnance Factory depot at Dehu Road.

The accused was ordered by the court to furnish a solvent surety of Rs 25,000 of one person and directed to report to the crime branch daily between 11 am to 1 pm till the filing of the chargesheet.

Manual was granted bail as the police failed to file the chargesheet within 90 days. The accused had filed a bail application under section 167 (2) of the CrPC in the court through his advocate.

The police had arrested Manuel alongwith another suspected ISI agent Sayed A Mohammed Desai.
