Sri Kochu Guruvayoorappan celebrates 25 yrs

MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 17: As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Sri Kochu Guruvayoorappan temple at Asthika Samaj, Matunga, a Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be held from September 19 - 24 at the Samaj Complex. The chief tantri Guruvayoor P. C. Dinesan Namboodiripad along with a team of 25 Namboodiri brahmins from Kerala will participate in the function. The programme is estimated to cost Rs 10 lakh. The poojas are patterned as in Guruvayoor with minor variations as laid down by the tantri. There will also be a discourse of Srimad Bhagavatha Prayanam by Anjam Krishnan Namboodiri of Guruvayoor from September 20 to 24.Copyright © 1999 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
