Indian visitors to Singapore are highest spenders
MUMBAI, SEPT 19: Visitors from India to Singapore have registered the highest average per capita expenditure at S$ 1,713 ( Rs 42,825), according to the Survey of Overseas Visitors to Singapore for 1998. This is nearly two and a half times that incurred by all visitors to Singapore at Rs 17,000. An interesting fact is that visitors from the USA registered a second at Rs 20,100.These statistics are significant, considering that while India ranks 9th in terms of the number of visitors to Singapore, it is the third highest revenue generating market for the country.
