Jaswant in US for UN meet

NEW YORK: External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh arrived here today to lead the Indian delegation to the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his 10-day visit, he will meet with his counterparts from major countries including US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and British foreign secretary Robin Cook.

Sachin's denial

MUMBAI: Sachin Tendulkar tonight denied reports that the Australian expert Dr Peter Barnes has warned that the injury could limit his career. ``I was at the press conference (in Australia where Barnes reported to have made the remarks) and Dr Barnes didn't say that my career could be restricted,'' Tendulkar, who returned here tonight, said.

Reservation quota

NEW DELHI: A Constitution bench of the SC has ruled that those who get jobs through reservation quota, are not entitled to seniority over general category employees as a matter of right.
