Bullocks, goats stolen
Two bullocks and a dozen goats were looted by armed robbers from Singwa village under Chhotaudepur Police Station last night. According to reports reaching here, over a dozen men armed with dharias, bows and arrows descended at Chandrasinh Rathwa's house and took away his cattle after a fight in which two persons were injured. Two persons who had consumed poisonous chemicals and were admitted to SSG Hospital for treatment, died on Sunday. According to the police, 20-year-old Sairabano Shaikh, a resident of Navapura, who had been married two-and-a-half years ago, who drank insecticide for unknown reasons on Friday, expired today. In another case, 55-year-old Kumar Moti Ram Upadhyaya, a resident of Kalali Phatak, who consumed some poisonous materials on Saturday due to financial crisis, also passed off today.
Run over
In a road mishap, 40-year-old Bharat Ramchandra, a resident of Sangam Sadar Bazar in Fatehgunj, was killed on the spot when he was hit by a speeding tempo in the Fatehgunj military camp area on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the deceased was walking when the tempo, coming from the opposite direction, hit him. Passersby, however, could not note down the registration number of the offending vehicle.
