Hospital stay prevents arrest

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Sept 19: A 35-year-old travel agent, who allegedly set his wife on fire during a domestic dispute on Friday night, could not be arrested as he was undergoing treatment for a bout of severe jaundice in a private hospital, the police said.

His wife, meanwhile, is being treated for 70 per cent burns at SSG Hospital. Police Inspector N K Rathod of the City Police Station said, ``He is being treated for severe jaundice in a private hospital. That is why he could not be arrested.'' He said that even before the September 17 incident, he had been in hospital.
