Two picked up for engineer's killing

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Sept 21: The Narmada district police have picked up two of those allegedly involved in the murder of Gujarat Electricity Board executive engineer R V Shah at Rajpipla on Monday afternoon.

Talking to Express Newsline, Special Inspector-General of Police, Vadodara Range, D D Tuteja said that police were interrogating other suspects, some of whom were GEB employees.

Meanwhile, though sources said five suspended GEB employees had met a senior Board official at Rajpipla on Sunday in connection with their suspension, Tuteja said it could not be established if they had conspired to commit the murder, since neither of Shah's two colleagues present at the scene of the crime had been able to identify the culprits.

Shah was killed by five persons said to be in their mid-twenties while he was having lunch around 2.10 pm on Monday.
