Rustication recommended

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Sept 21: The eight-member grievance committee has recommended a proposal to rusticate the four students of the M S University's Faculty of Arts who have been involved in several incidents of violence in the faculty.

The committee members recommended this proposal keeping in mind the acts of these students during the past few years. The members said that these students, namely Janak Makwana, Dinesh Parmar, Javed Jackson and Mihir Upadhya, have always been involved in incidents of violence and encouraged rampages on the campus.

Speaking to Express Newsline, one of the members said, ``The members have rejected the explanation of the faculty Dean Maya Shah in totality.'' He added that the under ordinance 113 of the University Act, the Dean had to give an explanation for not granting admissions to these students.

The member said that these proposals of the committee have been recommended, but the final decision had to be taken by the syndicate. Pro Vice-Chancellor Deepak Kumar De, however, said that the committee had not come to any final decision, but would do so after a few meetings.
