Labour courts face trouble

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Sept 22: In these recession-hit times, industrial workers are not the only ones to worry whether they will get their monthly wages. Even the labour judges, who are supposed to provide succour to them, are going through the same uncertainty.

Though they have received their wages for August, they are wondering whether the September pay package will come. Their worries are not unfounded. Twelve labour court employees have not received their salary for August.

A judge told Express Newsline on Tuesday that the salaries could not be paid as the state government did not have enough money. He admitted that even the judges were left wondering whether they would meet the same fate.
